Twitard sees New Moon!

I went to go see the much anticipated 'New Moon' movie on Saturday with a couple of my friends. I have had my tickets for weeks and have been looking forward to seeing this movie. By posting this blog I am admitting to my nerdy addiction to vampire love. I have kept my secret obsession under wraps but I just don't care anymore. At least I fit in the demographic this appeals to, 17 year old's and moms in their 30's. I guess there is just nothing more romantic than being in love with an undead. Okay to what I thought of the movie. I was going into this one with really low expectations because even though I love the books the first movie, Twilight, was pretty darn lame. New Moon exceeded my expectations. I loved it! Mind you it wasn't one of those films that all the Twihards call 'epic' but it got the job done for me. The action scenes were much better. The colors in the film were brighter and more vibrant than the first and the acting seemed to have improved. There wasn't anything about it that really bugged me except that at times Edwards lips were too red like he had lipstick on. All in all it gave life for two hours to a wonderful escape into my nerdy fantasies that is the Twilight saga.

Halloween Party!

We had our Halloween party at home this year with the Farmington Barker's and Airie and Abram. We had food, games and trick or treating. It was a great time had by all! Baron and I were dressed as an established 1950's couple. Brie was a beautiful hula girl and Colby was dressed as his idol, Thomas the Train.
Baron and I trying to capture the 50's culture of a 'good housewife'!

Okay, for those of you who know her, don't I look like Grandma Groberg?
Ah, the happy couple. Baron looks upset, I might have overcooked his pot roast! Shame!!!!

Cute little sweeties!!!

Airie and Abram as their pet rats, Moochie and Butters.
Paula and Laur dressed up as a gumball machine and Mr. Penny. Grandma's costume was a big hit with the kids. They would ask Grandpa for pennies to put in the gumball slot and out would pop a balloon(gumball). Very clever!!!
We had the kids paint a design on their pumpkin and then Baron would carve it out for them. This is Brie's cute kitty!
This is Colby's. He did such a good job at drawing this face for daddy to carve.
This is my attempt at carving into the flesh of the pumpkin without going all the way through. It turned out okay.
Baron's Guillotine pumpkin.
